Dr. Stephen A. O. Meeks B.S, D. Ac., L.Ac.

Founder and Executive Director of Moyo Nguvu Cultural Arts Center was on the cutting edge of the school-based clinic movement in New York City in the mid-1980s. He designed and implemented the first male involvement health and sex education program targeting teen fathers and sexually active teens (male or female) in a U.S. school system, in New York City. This included a condom distribution pilot program.

Other accomplishments include:

Received "Outstanding Young Man of the Year in 1987" award in New York City
Training over 2,000 youth, many who have pursued post-college and graduate education with an emphasis on social entrepreneurship and health sciences and the arts.
Conducted workshops, seminars and classes in every major school district in Denver metro area with more than 25,000 direct youth contacts per year for 12 consecutive years
Received Channel 7’s "Everyday Hero Award" (January 2003)
Designed rites of passage and youth programs, youth mentorship programs for other organizations around the country and is an expert in the area of youth leadership, training and health
Managed non-profit budgets up to $250,000 per year and has bought, sold, and managed the buildings owned by Moyo Nguvu (totaling over 9,000 s.f.)

	Lateef Hodge: Instructor and Health Educator. He has been a student for 16 years. During that time Lateef has volunteered in various capacities and served as a youth mentor. He coordinates the Center's "Each One Teach One" program. In addition, he is a professional health educator for Moyo's health programs and is in training to be a paramedic.

	Cerise McCaston: Instructor and Health Educator. She has been a student for eight years and a volunteer at Moyo for five years. She is the editor of the youth newsletter and is youth programs' coordinator/mentor. Cerise is a Pre-Medicine student at CU Boulder. Currently she is a professional health educator for Moyo's health programs.
