Children’s Rites of Passage (C.R.O.P.)
The nationally recognized C.R.O.P program at Moyo targets youth from 6-21 years of age. It is based on the traditional Afrikan concept of rites of passage which is literally structured assemblage of trial (classes and workshops) that are devised to empower the individual.

Moyo Arts Ensemble
The Moyo Arts ensemble performance troupe of Denver uses the media of drum, dance, poetry, song, martial arts and ritual to communicate the richness of Afrikan and African-American culture to audiences. The troupe features professional musicians and dancers of all ages.

School Visions
Educational outreach programs are designed to suit a wide range of people's needs. Moyo has a unique way of teaching African/African American culture, through the use of experiential modalities, such as African music, dance, martial arts, linguistics, values, and history. These in turn capture the Audience’s attention no matter what their age.

Each One Teach One
The E.O.T.O. program is a series of ongoing classes and workshops throughout the year. Classes include: African Martial Arts, Dance, Tai Chi Chuan, African Percussion, Meditation, and more.

Future Masters Academy
Cub Cadets: Ages 3-17
Emphasizes: Academic excellence, athleticism, high ethical standards, discipline and responsibility.

Moyo Cadets: Ages 18-30
A demanding program designed to produce young leaders.  Requirements:

  1. Exceptional commitment, discipline and humility.
  2. Superior Academics and/or Trade Skills
  3. Entrepreneurship
  4. Community Service
  5. Superior Creative Arts Skills
  6. Advanced Martial Arts and Science Skills
  7. Participation in M.A.E. as a performer

These programs evaluate cadet performance through parent participation, written, oral, and physical exams, volunteerism, academic performance and Moyo class-room hours.
